Though this crazy Texas weather may not be predictable Spring is here and believe it or not Summer is just around the corner. I wanted to share with you what I change in my beauty routine during these hot Spring/Summer months.

Learn more about the products I use and get some tips and tricks you can try your self.

Enjoy!

HAIR:
When I think about Summer I think of beach waves and braids so during those months I try to go au naturale, though I use the same hair routine all year long I find that using a shampoo + conditioner that helps my hair stay free of frizz longer is vital during the Summer since I keeps me from having to run for that straighter or curling wand daily { I use Keratin Smooth from TRESemme } When it comes to using hot tools I keep them stored unless it's a special occasion like a family function or for a fun night out with my boyfriend. I also don't like to use hairspray during the day, Summer days here in Texas are crazy hot! So adding hairspray only adds on to the damaging effects the sun it self has on our hair daily. I like to keep my hair ends looking healthy so I like to apply a serum daily { Nexxus Pro-mend Smoothing Shine Serum } Finally, to protect my hair from the harmful sun rays for that I use { Kérastase Soleil Huile Céleste }

FACE:
My face routine doesn't necessarily change I have normal skin with an oily 'T-Zone' and have been using { Cicatricure Microdermabrasion } for the last few years and I am very pleased though during the Summer I like to use { Witch Hazel } just on my 'T-Zone because it is stronger so it doesn't make the rest of my skin extra dry that may cause irritation. I tend to ditch my full coverage foundation and let my sin breathe so I lean towards my tinted moisturizer or mineral makeup { bareMINERALS } When it comes to makeup I go for bronze or gold and orange shimmery tones as eyeshadows and anything that hydrates my lips is in my beauty bag. I love cream blushes and lip stains because they last longer and give you a natural look.

SKIN:
I try keep my skin well moisturized during cold winter days as well as those Texas summer days so I like to exfoliate everyday. Instead of shaving I like to use an epilator or hair removing creams. Even though I am Latina I do have uneven skin tone so using a self-tanner is my little trick that I like to use. My favorite one that I have been using for years is the Jergens Daily Moisturizer, I like to use it to even out my naturally tanned skin. I love Jergens because not only does it moisturize your skin, it can be easily incorporated into your daily routine, it's buildable and there's none of that 'self-tanner' smell!

NAILS:
When it comes to nails I like to keep my toes pretty longer by using the {Mally 24/7 Professional 17pc Gel Nail Polish System } it helps me by not having to do my toes every two-weeks or so. When it comes to my fingers I prefer to change every week or so, since I do wash dishes, clean and cook I often get chipped nails even when being careful! I also like to use nail polish appliques hey! a little cheating doesn't hurt anyone!

*Quick Nail Polish Tip: Apply base, add first coat of polish, add a mattifying base coat and re-apply nail polish!
Jergens makes it easier than ever to glow with the NEW Natural Glow Moisturizers that provides great color, year-round, without the sunless tanner odor.

UN DIA BONITO | REVIEW

1186- Midi Body-Conscious Seamless Royal Blue Dress with Long SleevesHola! I wanted to do a really quick review on a online boutique I am obsessing over. Un Dia Bonito is known for it's skin hugging midi and bandage dresses. I got to choose a dress from so I could review and introduce you gals to this brand. I ordered the Midi Body-Conscious Seamless Royal Blue Dress with Long Sleeves When I saw the "One Size Only" option I honestly didn't know what to expect but I was excited about receiving my dress. Once my package arrived I must admit I really doubted I would like the fit, but to my surprise I fell head-over-heels! Though the dress has long sleeves the seamless fabric (92%Nylon 8%Span) is very fresh and though body-conscious the detail that the dress has provides some sort of contouring and slimming effect (that we all love!).

I have to say I am very pleased with the brand and can not wait to place my order. Customer service is amazing as well as super fast shipping. Overall great quality! I love the fact that they feature not only dresses but tops as well as jumpsuits ideal for a daring girl not afraid of standing out and being sexy or embracing their curves. Click here to visit their site and check out their amazing inventory!

Happy Shopping!

TIME TO SHOW OFF THAT TAN | MY SPRING WARDROBE

It is officially spring and weather here in Texas is crazier than ever. As I type this we are in the 40s. Yes to some of you it might be normal spring time weather but to us Texans...It's out of norm! We are getting late Winter-like weather.

I wish the temperature was a lot more pleasant so I could have shown you gals what S/S outfits I can't wait to wear. A month ago I talked about my nightmares I have experienced wit self-tanners. To me spring is all about bright colors, flower power, sheer flowy tops and maxi dresses and of course gorgeous tanned skin.

My S/S closet basics also include items from my F/W wardrobe like a chambray top or booties. When I think of S/S I think of white or the LWD {Little White Dress} even a white shorts. I like especially pairing white shorts with a basic white tee and some booties. Gorgeous tanned skin looks not only amazing but also healthy in white clothing. I’m loving colors! Neon and prints is hotter than ever I'm looking forward to pair my pink cheetah shorts with a nautical stripe tee. I love a chambray top I simply roll up the sleeves and pair it with a statement necklace.

Spring is about having fun and pairing basics with more unique items that give you that unexpected edge! Basics like denim shorts, tees and tunics go hand in hand with fun printed skirts or fun colored shorts fun yet comfortable. Summer nights for me are about maxi dresses.

A great way to show off that tan is wedges. Wedges scream summer try nude pumps for mile high legs try gladiator sandals for comfort and chicness. Have fun this spring and show off that tanned skin. Check back next month to as I share my “S/S Bauty Routine” and give you my final review and experience with Jergens.

When you wear that perfect outfit, you look and feel radiant. With that in mind, Jergens Skincare has partnered with celebrated stylist Kate Young to create Pinterest boards of image inspiration.

SPRING INTO BEAUTY | HAIR + BEAUTY TRENDS

Alexander Wang SS13
Iam really excited about Spring and Summer! Here in Texas it might feel like we just have two seasons since it is either really hot or really cold and in between we have rainy days and some perfect ones. Spring/Summer though have to be my favorite seasons especially spending those hot summer days at the beach or the lake with my friends and family or those days where the weather is in the perfect 70s and with clear skies we love to have cookouts or visit our favorite flea markets.

I mentioned in my previous fashion post how excited I am about upcoming trends. I think that sometimes we tend to think how over the top some of the looks we see in the runway and often say to ourselves "Who would wear that, I wouldn't!" But we have to learn that the key is to wear what catches your attention and what you are comfortable in and not wear it all together!

Keep reading below to see my favorite upcoming beauty trends { shown in bold. }

The middle part is making a comeback you can keep it simple by parting sleek hair as seen in the Blumarine runway or you can also try a low pony or even a low bun. *Use a defrizzing cream to achieve ultra sleek hair! If you are looking for something more fun then try loose tousled hair like we saw in the J. Mandel show those effortless waves aren't going anywhere anytime soon so brush away those curls. Slept-in, natural hair as well as crimped hair was very popular on the runways. *I personally loved the Betsey Johnson show uber fun! Pair candy colored hair (like what we saw in the Oscar de la Renta show) with a heavy side part or a punk-y hairstyle. Braids are hot right now and perfect for Spring or Summer *My personal favorite the 'Milkmaid Braid' there is tons of versions you just have to play with it and make it your own you will find the one that fits your face shape. Retro glam basically anything 50's 60's inspired is in I love retro hair and topping it off with hair accessories like headbands.

It is all about natural bold brows, luminous skin and smoky lids so ditch the mascara and rock bare natural lashes (try eyelash extensions for natural length pair it with bold liner, bright eyeshadow (pink and red shades are hot for Spring!) Pucker up with matte bold red lips. Give your nails a natural feel by getting a white manicure or using a nude nail polish
